About Riverton First Kids

We love to have children in our church! We strive to provide age appropriate material for children, pre-teens and teenagers. When you come to church you will be greeted by a friendly greeter. We love to include children in our services when we can. Every week there is a children's moment when the pastor calls the children up front for "sermon in a sack". The children bring objects the pastor hasn't seen before and place them in a sack behind the pulpit. A child is chosen to pick an object from the sack and the pastor attempt to make a mini-sermon or spiritual application off the top of his head or the children win a candy bar (to be given after the service). In addition to this, most weeks there is children's church during the adult service. All of our children and teen workers must go through a background checks annually through the National Naz-Safe background check screening system.

Your first visit

Visiting us for the first time? No fear! Our friendly VIP host will show you where our Kids Check-In is when you arrive. We will meet your family, check your child into class, and answer any questions you may have. We can't wait to meet you! We will ask you to fill out a visitors card with your contact information and give it to the pastor/greeter/ushers before you leave.

Safety

We do have up-to-date security cameras covering he parking lots, fellowship hall and foyer. At a certain time, all doors are locked to outside access except the main, south facing doors. All who enter late are observed via monitored security cameras and greeters.

What We Teach

All teaching is biblical based, teaching traditional christian doctrine. Much of our curriculum comes from "The Foundry," our denominational publishing house. Most of our people use the New International Version (NIV) of the bible. Many use and love the King James or the New King James versions.
