Thank you for your support!
We believe in the biblical teaching of "storehouse tithing". We are to give our tithe (10% of income) to the local church, were you are being fed spiritually. This is a biblical principle God initiated from the beginning (Gen 4:1-4). This system of giving continued throughout the old and new testament periods (Gen 14:18-20 and Malachi 3:1-10, Matthew 23:23). The tithe and offerings go to the local church for salaries of the pastor and paid church staff, for local church property, bills and maintenance. Our compassionate ministry fund is to help people in our community with various needs, food, housing, clothing, etc. A designated percentage goes to our local district "the Rocky Mountain District" (Wyoming & Montana) to support district leadership with district expenses, camps, conventions, special events. And a certain percentage goes to the international headquarters to support our global ministries and our global mission effort.
2 Corinthians 9:6-9 (NIV) states: "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.” This passage emphasizes the importance of generosity and the blessings that come from giving cheerfully.
The most common way to give is during the traditional tithe and offering time in the morning service. If you forget your tithe check, it can be mailed to the church. Many people take advantage of this while they are gone on vacation. You can now give through the website or even use the QR code on the pew backs.
Additional offerings may be taken up to help with individual emergency financial needs or to help a young person with schooling needs or mission trips, etc.
There are special offerings for Easter, world evangelism (missions), thanksgiving offering, building fund and other special needs. Alabaster offerings are taken in Feb & Sept, and special offerings to address immediate financial mission needs.
